What is 3D Sudoku?

3D Sudoku is a puzzle played on an N×N×N cube instead of a flat 9×9 grid. Every X, Y, and Z line must contain each digit exactly once. SUDOCUBE is the world's first 3D Sudoku game for iPhone and iPad.

How is SUDOCUBE different from regular Sudoku?

Regular Sudoku is flat — one 9×9 grid. SUDOCUBE moves the puzzle into a 3D cube where you must track three orthogonal axes simultaneously. The mechanic is unique on the App Store.

Is SUDOCUBE free to play?

Yes. All 4 entry-level 3×3×3 puzzles are fully free, no account needed. The optional SUDOCUBE Club (€3.99 one-time purchase) unlocks 4×4×4 + 5×5×5 cubes and all 12 premium worlds.

Does SUDOCUBE work offline?

Yes. After install, SUDOCUBE works fully offline. No network connection required.

Do I need an account to play?

No. SUDOCUBE has no login, no registration, no tracking. Just install and play.

What languages are supported?

9 languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese (Brazilian), Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified). The full UI, tutorial, and FAQ are localised.

What devices does SUDOCUBE run on?

iPhone and iPad running iOS 16 or later. Universal app — one Club purchase covers all your Apple devices via the same Apple ID.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. SUDOCUBE launches on iOS first to focus on quality. An Android version may follow if there is enough demand.

SUDOCUBE was built so that no personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted. This policy describes what happens — and what doesn't.

Data we DO NOT collect

  • No analytics, no tracking, no advertising IDs
  • No user accounts, no sign-up, no login
  • No location data, no device fingerprinting
  • No third-party crash reporting or SDKs
  • No cloud sync of your game state
  • No cookies (in the app), no third-party scripts (in the app)

Data that stays locally on your device

  • Game progress (highest level, streak, scores, Wall of Fame): device LocalStorage
  • Settings (language, vibration, font, glow mode): LocalStorage
  • Bundled audio: ships with the app, no download

This data is removed when you uninstall SUDOCUBE.

Apple In-App Purchases (SUDOCUBE Club)

If you purchase the SUDOCUBE Club, the transaction runs entirely through Apple (StoreKit). We receive an anonymous entitlement confirmation — never your name, email, payment details, or Apple ID. See Apple's IAP privacy policy.

Restoring purchases

"Restore" in the app asks Apple whether your signed-in Apple account has made a Premium purchase. No data is exchanged with our servers — we don't have any servers.

Writing to support@sudocube.app means we receive your address and message. Used solely to reply. No third-party sharing. Deletion on request anytime.

Children

SUDOCUBE is rated 4+ and contains no data collection.

Your rights (GDPR / Swiss FADP)

Even though no data exists about you, you have these rights: Access (Art. 15), Rectification (Art. 16), Erasure (Art. 17), Data portability (Art. 20), Objection (Art. 21), and the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. Inquiries: support@sudocube.app

If we ever change our privacy practice (e.g. multiplayer with cloud sync), we will update this policy with a new "Last updated" date.

By installing and using SUDOCUBE you agree to these terms.

1. Provider

SUDOCUBE is offered by Philipp Jeker ("we" or "Provider"). Contact: support@sudocube.app

2. Distribution & Apple

SUDOCUBE is distributed exclusively via the Apple App Store. The contract of use is between you and Apple. The Apple Standard EULA applies in addition.

3. License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use SUDOCUBE on your Apple devices, bound to your Apple ID. The license is personal and non-resellable.

4. SUDOCUBE Club (In-App Purchase)

  • Price: €3.99 (or local equivalent per Apple Tier 4)
  • Type: One-time, permanent non-consumable Apple IAP — not a subscription
  • Scope: Unlocks all 16 levels (4×4×4 + 5×5×5 cubes), full Wall of Fame, master difficulty, plus future club features at no additional cost
  • Devices: Applies to all devices signed in with the same Apple ID. Restore via the Restore button in Settings.

5. Refunds

Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple — we have no direct access. Request via reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple typically grants refunds within 14 days of purchase, often longer in EU jurisdictions.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights to SUDOCUBE — code, logo, brand name "SUDOCUBE", visual design, audio, game mechanic, all text — belong to the Provider. Reverse engineering, decompilation, and cloning are prohibited. Third-party components (Three.js, React, Next.js, Capacitor) are governed by their respective open-source licenses.

7. Availability

We strive for stable availability but provide no 100% uptime guarantee. Updates may add or change features. We reserve the right to update or discontinue the app at any time — purchased premium content remains accessible for the lifetime of the app.

8. Liability

To the extent legally permissible:

  • For intent and gross negligence we are liable without limit.
  • For light negligence only for breach of essential contractual duties and only up to foreseeable damage.
  • No liability for pure game-data losses (e.g. uninstalling and reinstalling the app).

These limits do not apply to personal injury or statutory warranties.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Jurisdiction is the competent Swiss court. If you are a consumer residing in an EU jurisdiction, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your domicile apply.

10. Changes

We may amend these terms. We'll notify of material changes in the app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
